Each LUMY Award is decided through a hybrid model of rigorous professional scoring and broad community input. Six judges — spanning design, engineering, and distribution — assess every entry across a structured rubric. Then, the lighting community weighs in with the Voice of the People vote, contributing 1/7 of the final score.
Together, they shape a verdict that’s balanced, respected, and deeply rooted in the real-world impact of great lighting.
